BAWBURGH VILLAGE HALL 50/50 CLUB
RULES
1. The 50/50 Club is a private club under the terms of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976.
2. The aim of the club is to raise money for the benefit of Bawburgh Village Hall.
3. The club will be administered by members of the Bawburgh Village Hall Management Committee.
4. Membership of the club is restricted to residents of Bawburgh and their friends.
5. Membership of the club will be effected by completing a written application, on receipt of which the Member will be issued with a numbered membership card and a copy of the Rules.
6. Members wishing to withdraw from the club should return their membership cards, so that their numbers can be re-allocated.
7. Members of the club will be eligible to enter a monthly draw for cash prizes totaling 50% of the monies taken for that month and divided as follows:-
1st Prize - 25%
2nd Prize - 10%
3 prizes of 5% each
The remaining 50% of proceeds, after deducting expenses incurred for printing and stationery, will be used for the benefit of Bawburgh Village Hall.
8. Each unit in the draw will cost £1 and members may purchase as many units as they wish. Membership numbers will be used for members' first unit in each draw and any member purchasing additional units will be allocated additional numbers.
9. Units in the draw may be purchased by members on an annual, quarterly or monthly basis and must be purchased in advance of the draw from the Promoter, who will be responsible for keeping a record book containing names and addresses of members, numbers allocated and payments made. This record book will be available on request.
10. The draw will be made at the Village Hall Coffee Morning on the first Saturday of every month and will be undertaken by two members of the Bawburgh Village Hall Management Committee with an independent witness.
11. On each draw, five winning numbers will be drawn and allocated to the prizes available in order of prize value. No number will be eligible to win more than one prize in any draw. No prizes shall be paid or delivered by the promoters to any person other than the person to whom the winning number was allocated.
12. All winners will be notified and each month a list of winners' names and numbers will be placed on the Parish Council notice board and published in the Bawburgh News.
13. Accounts will be produced annually.
